Immersive Creek

Undisturbed Long-Form Ambisonic Recordings of calm Creeks in the Woods of Vermont. Ideal for immersive Experiences, infinitely adaptable.

If your Soundscape needs some gentle, flowing Water, look no further.

When Sarah and I were taking a little vacation in the woods of Hardwick, Vermont, I was awestruck by just the utter absence of any anthropogenic noise around us. Whenever there was a car coming through, you'd hear it from miles away, and, with it being late November, there were no bird calls for the majority of the time.

In a small patch of forest near Nichols Pond lies a network of creeks and water runoffs that are ideal for capturing undisturbed, serene sounds of water flowing. Stable temperatures meant that there was very consistent snow melt and the flow of the water stayed steady throughout many hours of recording.

As a result, this single-purpose library contains long-form recordings of these creeks that will excel wherever the sounds of water flowing are desired with not even the slightest hint of looping. With the exception of two babbling brooks captured in stereo during a hike, all recordings are 10 minutes long and captured in AmbiX (Ambisonic B-Format) for the greatest possible flexibility when it comes to placing them in a virtual environment.

These recordings are free of edits and include stereo versions for dragging and dropping without the need for Ambisonic decoding. As a special treat, three long-form recordings are also accompanied by a Geofón track that captures the vibrations caused by the water in the nearby soil.

Want something to relax or study to?

A selection of the most calming soundscapes captured in this library will also be available for recreational listening on streaming services soon!

About me

Hi there! My name is Chris and I'm a sound designer and audio mixing & mastering engineer based in scenic mountain region of Berkshire County, Massachusetts. While my background has been performing and recording music, it was the process of creating my first ever musical sample pack, Low'n'Slow, that truly made me fall in love with sound design in 2019.

Since then, I've started designing sound effects for video games, sampled rare synthesizers and drum machines, turned field recordings into contemporary hip hop drum kits, and created loops for fellow producers to use. During the course of the pandemic, I realized creating sounds for film and games was something I really wanted to pursue and while working towards that goal, I also started creating sound libraries for fellow sound professionals, video editors, and multimedia artists.

I strive to provide uncompromising, meticulously captured high-quality audio assets at an affordable price and help creatives at all stages of their career find the right colors for their sonic palette. My Blog also provides insight into my process, and my gear page highlights what equipment I use to create these libraries.
