Capturing samples and ambiances from decades-old and often unknown recordings is a true passion of mine.
When I recently stumbled on a handful of vinyl records of traditional Japanese koto music dating back some 50 to 60 years, I knew instantly that they would hold a treasure trove of sampling material to share with all of you!
I captured these records in 96 kHz using my custom turntable and de-crackled, restored, chopped, re-pitched, and processed them into unique loops, one-shots, and more – 42 samples to be exact.
These samples are sure to give your productions a unique vibe and can be used as-is, as well as turned into entirely new sounds. Happy producing!
