Hi Everyone!
Sarah and I are back from our Zimbabwe trip and still can't thank all of you enough for the support! It was a memorable trip in many regards and taught me a lot about mindful listening and recording, managing my expectations, and living in the moment.
We stayed at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, overlooking a watering hole where we'd regularly spot kudu, impala, warthogs, elephants, vultures, velvet monkeys, and baboons. Seeing this much wildlife up close and undisturbed was completely surreal and humbling.
While many of the things I thought I'd be able to record didn't come to pass, many other recording opportunities that I hadn't expected presented themselves throughout our stay. So, here are some impressions while I'm combing through 200+ GB of audio recordings and editing them to craft a library.
Some of my personal highlights include getting to record multiple vulture feedings, and capturing the incredible sound and force of Victoria Falls in Ambisonic audio.
