Are your samples royalty-free?

In short, yes. I believe that if you go out looking for sample makers rather than sampling records you shouldn't be burdened by still having to negotiate sample clearance. I make these sounds for you to use. If you end up making a record that pays your bills with them then that's exactly what I wanted! Credit me if you're feeling generous, I won't be offended if you don't.

BØLT one shot samples are completely royalty free and can be used without any credit or clearance. BØLT loops are royalty free for use in beats for sale and commercial music releases unless otherwise noted.

BØLT may set certain restrictions on the usage of certain files and samples. Keep in mind that modifying files (such as using an FX plugin to change the sound of the file) does not make it your own and will not entitle you to re-sell any sample or loop. Resale of any listed products or parts thereof in any digital or physical form (including NFTs) is prohibited.

Under no circumstances may any of these samples be re-distributed for private or commercial purposes, be it as a part of a sample pack or on their own, unless significant musical transformation (i.e. using them in a greater musical context or composition) has occurred.

What DAWs & Hardware are compatible?

My sound packs come as high-quality WAV files making them compatible with any DAW on the market. That includes mobile apps like KOALA, Flip Sampler, GarageBand, FL Studio mobile, Cubasis, etc. In addition to DAWs, every groove box or standalone hardware unit with support for WAV samples should be compatible. That includes all current MPC models and Maschine+. To bring any of the samples onto the teenage engineering OP-Z or OP-1 you will need to convert them into kits using the free OP-1 Drum Utility.

Instrument packs come packaged as sampler instrument files (for example .exs /.sf2 /.nki) with compatibility explained in the product description and installation instructions provided if necessary.

Products labeled "MPC Expansion" will ONLY work with Akai Professional MPC hardware and/or software and cannot be used outside of the MPC ecosystem.

DAW templates and preset packs have their compatibility criteria listed in the product description. Ableton Racks will only work in the specified versions of Ableton Live.

What is your refund policy?

All purchases are final and all content is free of Digital Rights Management (DRM) and thus cannot be refunded.
